Description
Shunt Trip Device Function
The shunt trip device is a remote – control device. It forces the circuit breaker to open through an external electrical signal (such as a button, relay, or PLC), enabling remote or automated circuit interruption.
Working Principle
When an external power supply (DC/AC) is applied to the shunt trip device coil, the coil generates an electromagnetic force to drive the tripping mechanism, causing the circuit breaker to trip immediately.
Application Scenarios
- Emergency power supply switching (such as fault isolation in a dual – power system).
- Industrial automation control (such as emergency shutdown of a production line).
- Intelligent power distribution systems (remotely controlling the circuit breaker through an IoT platform).
Technical Parameters
- Driving voltage: DC 24V–250V / AC 24V–250V (needs to be matched with the control system).
- Action time: ≤0.1s (fast response).
- Installation method: Connect to the circuit breaker body through a plug – in or screw – fixed type.
